Pumpkin Patch

“Oh! You go to the pumpkin patch church.”

Since First Presbyterian affiliated itself with the Pumpkin Patch over a decade ago, we have been known as “the Pumpkin Patch Church” to those in our community. And our visitors don’t mind paying just a little more for their pumpkins because all profit is used to help people and organizations in our community.

Staffed entirely by volunteers, the pumpkin patch is a magical place for children and families who wander through the more than 3,000 pumpkins to select the perfect one.

All Proceeds Are Contributed to Local Charities

Area groups such as Habitat for Humanity, SafeHouse, Shelby County Foster children, tornado relief, Shelby Emergency Assistance and others have shared in the more than $54,000 provided by the “Pumpkin Patch Church.”

Observing the sparkling eyes of a pre-school child or the careful photos of a tiny baby’s first visit are why our volunteers love the time spent on the church lawn among the pumpkins, hay bales, scarecrows and happy visitors.

Come share the fun each October and help us continue to serve our community!
