Ministry Teams

Discipleship Team

  1. Call and provide training opportunities for Sunday School teachers
  2. Organize and carry out Fat Tuesday Event
  3. Organize and carry out Intergenerational Educational events on Easter and  Rally day
  4. Provide support for Confirmation Class during the season of Lent
  5. Provide support for special worship activities during the church year
  6. Recruit ushers, greeters, liturgists, nursery workers for Sunday morning worship ( 10:30 service )
  7. Assist in the training and scheduling for ushers, greeters, and liturgists, nursery workers

Outreach Team

  1. Assist in the planning and carrying out of a summer mission trip
  2. Engage the congregation in smaller mission opportunities throughout the year
  3. Develop and implement a strategy for contacting first time visitors
  4. Provide at least quarterly reports / presentations to the congregation about mission opportunities
  5. Organize and carry out church’s participation in Alabaster’s Christmas Parade

Stewardship Team

  1. Develop and implement annual stewardship campaign
  2. Provide opportunities throughout the year to practice stewardship in areas other than financial giving
  3. Provide at least quarterly reports / presentations to the congregation regarding stewardship
  4. Provide support to church groups who need to engage in fund raising outside the general budget
  5. Provide support to church treasurer and session as annual budget is determined

Hospitality Team

  1. Organize and carry out celebration of baptisms
  2. Organize and carry out celebration of graduations
  3. Recruit and schedule hosts for Family Dinners
  4. Provide information to church administrator regarding inventory needs in the kitchen
  5. Routinely check for outdated / expired food, condiments, etc. in kitchen and dispose of them as necessary
  6. Secure location and carry out annual Easter Egg Hunt

Maintenance Team

  1. Develop and implement schedule for changing HVAC filters
  2. Organize and carry out church wide work days as necessary
  3. Perform monthly maintenance checks and do repairs as necessary
  4. Provide a way for congregation to communicate repairs that they notice
