Ushers, Greeters, Acolytes, Liturgists

ImageWe  have Lay People in the conrgegation who volunteer to serve as leader of part of the service.
  • Greeters welcome members and visitors at the front door and are there to assist .Greeters volunteer for a month at a time.
  • Ushers greet those coming into worship, give out bulletins, assist in finding seating, and distribute assisted hearing devices to those who are in need of those. Ushers are also asked to serve by collecting up the offering plates during the offertory.Ushers serve a month at a time.
  •  Liturgists serve for two weeks at a time and  participate in the worship service by reading the  liturgy and  some of the scripture readings. During the  Early Worship Service we have  Readers which  read the scriptures during the service.
  • Acolytes are children in the congregation that have accepted the responsibilty to  light the candles before each service, extinguish them at the end of each service, and assist in the service of Communion. Acolytes must be in grade three and up. Acolytes serve for 1 month period at at a time.
