Image First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster is located at 8828 Hwy 119 in Alabaster and has been a part of the Alabaster community since the 1850's. We have around 200 active members. We are governed locally by the Session which is made of a group of nine of our members and moderated by our minister. We also have a group of 6 members that make up the Diaconate that help with missions and  physical needs of the church and church building. Each meet  monthly to serve the church.   We are a member of the Robert Donnell Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Denomination.

Image At present we have two  Worship Services: Our Early Service begins at 8:30a.m. and our Late Service which  begins at 10:30 a.m..Our Sunday School starts at 9:15am -We have three adult classes-"The Wisdom Class" , The "Whole People of God Class", and the "Who Noz" class. The curriculum for the adult classes varies-we use NOOMA, David C. Cook, and Interpretations.

For grades K-6 we have PCF  (Presbyterian Children's Fellowship) which during the school year concentrates on Christian education and worship skills  and during the summer meets mainly for fellowship. PYF (Presbyterian Youth Fellowship) is for grade s 6-8 and 9-12. The study groups usually go on hiatus during the summer month because of summer presbytery camps, CPYC, the Youth Mission Trip, among other youth activities that take place during the summer.

For our senior members we have the J.O.Y. Club which takes monthly trips and enjoys each others fellowship as they visit different places in the state. In the fall we have a church-wide retreat which members of all ages enjoy. Also in the fall we have a Pumpkin Patch to raise money for local ministries.

Image. Our  pastor, Rev. Mark A. Davenport, is an Arkansas native. He graduated from the Memphis Theological Seminary with a master's degree in divinity and was ordained June 12, 1988.  Pastor Mark came to FPCA in January of 2004. He and his lovely wife, Tracy, have six children.

We welcome all to attend our services!
